Electric Windows Issue

Hi,
Iv got a 2003 Renault Megane. I know that electrical problems are very common in renault cars. Three of my electric windows dont work at all. I had to get my local renault dealer to lock one of the back windows closed as it would spontanously open and close itself even when the car was locked!!! Apparently this is a renault fault ( something to do with water getting into the window regulator and corroding it? ) but they quoted me 500euro each to fix the windows which is ridiculous money to spend on a 2003 car! I am wondering if anyone knows of someone who might have an interest in car electrics and might have a way of fixing this problem for me? I dont mind if paying a few hundred to get the issue fixed but no where near 1500! Im based in Galway but would travel a bit if I thought I could get this sorted! Thanks!!

You need to figure out if its a mechanical or electronic problem.

Thanks, well the Renault dealership said that its the regulator in the electric windows that is the problem.. I think it's electrical?

Thanks, yeah that is the exact problem iv had! When I went to the Galway dealership & they locked closed the back window which was opening randomly, the man in the office mentioned that I would have been able to have some of the repair work covered by Renault had my car been less than 6 years old! He said as it is over that we can't do anything for you! And that's when he said it would cost 500e per window! He also said I would be able to get it done cheaper through a private mechanic. The mechanic I use for services is not able to do it and that's why I'm looking for someone who knows how to fix it!
