    The ipad is fully functional in Ireland out of the box. The Kindle Fire is not - can't buy apps in Ireland.

    I wouldnt reccomend the Fire. Not that one at least.

    If you need a 7" Tablet, look up the Nexus 7.

    I understood that you couldn't buy apps for the Kindle Fire in Ireland without rooting and/or sideloading and messing around with IP addresses :confused:

    The ipad will work out of the box.
