Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sweet jaysus I hope you're taking the piss there.

If Fergie had the Gauls as he once did when he played scholes, butt,Beecham, giggs and the Neville brothers in the 1st team when no other manager would and just pick ando and clev and stick carrick behind them we may concede the odd more goal but we would dominate so much more, makes me sad some of the teams he plays :(

    Welbeck please, been shocking.

Welbeck is shocking every week. I dunno what anyone sees in him. Over runs every ball he gets, has the first touch of a rapist and one of the worst finishing I've seen from a so called, centre forward. All pace, nothing else.

The keeper is relevant in offside.

That is not technically true. The only thing that is relevant is players. The keeper could be on the half way line and 2 players behind him. If the ball is played while an opposition players is between those two players then he is offside, if he is on his own goal side in the opposition half and in front of both players then he is onside. The reason for confusion is two fold, not knowing the laws and also the fact that it is usually the keeper who is the last man.

So, the keeper is relevant then

He gave it a go at the start of last season but after injuries and the 6-1 defeat against Man City he went back to the cautious football.
Ever since Utd were outplayed by Real Madrid in 2000 ,Fergie has become more and more cautious.
The days of swashbuckling vintage Utd are long gone.

Can be relevant would probably be the best way to put it. "Usually is" would be more accurate, but you can't write rules with the word "usually" in them. :P

No. The keeper is not relevant, every player is relevant and in fact in my example the keeper is not relevant at all in the offside decision. Suggest you have a look at the laws of the game.
