We need "terms" if we are going to understand the different apects of sexuality, we need to put a name on things. The become problematic when people add moral to them or see them as a bad thing.

That is my understanding of MSM too, it is a easy way to catch people for research and such. I don't know if it exists as a valid concepts though, however, I am constantly evaulating the terms and concepts I use in work.
MSM is used only as a statistical category, it is not used to identify someones sexuality. In medical research many msm would only have had male sexual contact as a result of rape or assault. It is a catch all category for all men who have had sexual contact with another male.

I heard some straight women fantasize about gay lads. Apparently they buy gay porn.

That's because we (tend to) dress better, take care of our bodies and are better at pretending to pay attention when they rabbit on about whatever they rabbit on about.

    Who wouldn't want us*

    *straight men apparently.

Edit: I meant to add, there is something not right is someones sexuality provokes a really strong reaction in another person, in my opinion people need to explore that if it is happening.

I don't disagree with you. I was just trying to explain why the terms can't be applied too strictly.

I would use labels myself. I would say that I have a degree of attraction to women but I would still label myself as straight.

Wait, are you a man that changed to a woman and now you like other men that have changed to women? Or, are you a woman who changed to a guy and like other women that changed to a guy? Or, are you a woman that changed to a guy and now you like men that have changed to women and vice versa?

I have literally never been so confused in my life

lol, yeah like i was saying, lesbian.

Ohh it makes sense now! I didn't think that was even possible. You learn something new everyday!

I am familiar with ita statistical catch all category, but have heard it being used in other ways too.

I would have to look back on certain papers, I have seen it used in research papers a lot over the years. I don't think I have ever heard it used to describe men who have been abused by men though.

PS: Ive never actually issued the pics or gtfo in a thread before, it is reserved entirely for alleged transgender girl on girl scenarios.

I didn't think it was possible for a man who likes girls to be transgender.

there's pics of me around, probably not too hard to find either if you really wanna know what I look like, but I'm not gonna post them on AH if that's ok? don't trust AH'ers with it, I get enough private message as it is from folks telling me how interested they are.

    Edit:

I'm not a man. I have never thought of myself that way at all, and really don't like being referred to as a man either. ok? thanks ;)

I'm not a medical practitioner but I do work in the medical industry. I've seen the term used in statistical analysis (specifically sexual and mental health related data) of men who have had sex with other men regardless of their orientation, this includes non consensual sex.

I can verify that it signifies any and all instances of male + male sex. Hence Male Sex Male (MSM). It's used for statistics, research, risk assessment etc. Used in the Medical Industry as it's much more useful just to qualify this behaviour without going into labels, avoiding long, drawn out discussion about who is 'gay', 'bi' or anything else.

Yeah seen it used in all other contexts, but non consensual is new on me. I a surprised as a lot of my work involves various experiences of assualt.

Another time i was at a rave and was, as the French say, "off my biscuit". A chap engage me in conversation, we sat down and within seconds this guy goes for the lunge. I told him he was barking up the wrong tree and went on my way.

Good thing you were off your biscuit and didn't play a game of soggy biscuit! :D

I fingered my friends dog one night I had a few too many pints, its a bitch though so I don't think that really counts does it?

    Now I'm confused again :p

As far as I know (the science evolves fairly quickly) there's two categories, trans and cis: transgender women and cisgender women, both women.

Just look at the more commonly used bit of the phrase and go with that.
