Why wont my facebook notifications beep , 4s ios6

Hi
I have a iphone 4s , when i get facebook notifications sometimes it will jus bring up the number badge app icon thingy. It never beeps !! My messenger always beeps for chat ..
I have sounds turned on etc , in the app itself in account settings everything is turned on etc , but i still cant get it to work !!

I just want it to work when i need and i can knock it off when i want if its annoying !!

Cant figure it out ..
Any help appreciated , thanks ;-)

Have you updated to the latest version of the app/iOS? You could try that..

Actually, I just noticed something.

I got an alert from FB the other day and I just checked the settings menu there and the sound was on, but no sound played when I got the message...

Facebook notifications haven't worked in god knows how long for me. Before iOS 5 I had trouble with them and no matter what I change or switch on and off they don't work

yep there seems to be alot of people with this problem !! and noone has seems to found a simple fix , ive read of people restoring there phone , erasing apps and all sorts to try fix the problem with still no luck !!

i wonder is the fault on facebook side or apples side ??

i do get my notifications for viber voxer paypal an a few more ..
i get them for adverts app but no sound :mad: nothing from facebook only sometims the badge app icon..

The best way to fix it I have found is if you do the following:

Delete Facebook app
Power off phone and on again
Install Facebook app again
Check notification settings

This worked for me any time a changered to another iPhone and had restored from a backup.

I'm having the same issue. The phone doesn't beep or vibration when I get a facebook notification.

yup the more ive searched on google the more i am seeing that theres a hugh amount of people having this problem....
