Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Im using the latest iOS and I'm driven bonkers trying to do something I think is relatively simple on my Macbook Pro.

I'm connected to the iPhone with itunes and I can see Im running low on memory. I need to take off all the videos and reduce them in size with Quicktime and put the ones I want to have on the phone back on again.

How do I simply see the list of images and videos on the phone, and take them off to the Mac!?!

Not sure on a mac but in windows you just go to my computer and click on the iPhone. You will find DCIM in one of the folders and that contains all the pics and videos

Email the videos to yourself and send them via your home wifi. Delete on iPhone. Space saved.

Create an 'iPhone videos" folder in your admin/home folder and in iTunes select to sync videos from that specific folder only. Edit video sent via email and put edited version into that folder. Sync iTunes/iPhone.

Thanks a lot! I'd like to get a simple app from the Mac store that does things easily like cropping the interesting bits from videos and adjusting the file size. Any recommendations?

Mac usually uses logic and for syncing you use iTunes, was surprised to find Apple's logic for photo/video on your iPhone is iPhoto. Open that with your phone connected and you'll be able to see/backup/remove photos&videos of your iPhone.

I don't have any recommendations, sorry. Come back and say if that method works ok ?

This is working quite well actually. The only problem is emailing videos that are 3 or 4 minutes long. I'm going to buy some software that allows me to do some simple editing on the mac like cropping, converting etc. Thanks!

Don't use email then. Email has too many limitations wrt file size.

Use one of two Apps that are very good for this - that I use.

    a) Scotty: Transfers photos and video direct to your Mac from your iPhone via Wifi. You just need to turn on File Sharing in System Prefs on your Mac temporarily while you do the transfer.

    b) Photo Transfer App: This uses their server. as an intermediary. I haven't done video with this, only photos.

DropBox is another option - however I suspect it is slower than Scotty.
