Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lots of RDM chants but no boos... I don't mind that, apparently a minutes applause at 16 too.

A couple of wins by Rafa and they'd end up shutting up fairly promptly.

BBC Sport's Chief Football Writer Phil McNulty at Stamford Bridge:

"Never heard such a hostile reception for a new manager as the one just given to Rafael Benitez by Chelsea's fans before kick-off. Prolonged booing and there have already been some abusive chants during the opening minutes.

"Stamford Bridge's PA announcer had to raise his voice above the jeers to announce a minute's applause for former Chelsea manager Dave Sexton, who has passed away."

    Classy stuff

Wonder which version of Yaya Toure will turn up today. He's been a shadow of himself last few weeks in my opinion.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,907 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

"Rafa Out" signs in the corner there. It's all very cringeworthy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Wonder if they handed out those plastic 'Rafa Out' signs before kick off.

LOL, Chelsea fans with RAFA OUT banners :pac:

15 mins into his managerial career....

Fcuking idiot Chelsea fans. See them there with their "rafa out" posters. WTF get behind the manager FFS.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Rafa could actually pick up 3 million for 90 minutes work.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,829 ✭✭✭✭Panthro

Nice touch with the applause for RDM.

Exactly just like Hodgson and Liverpool:D

Shouldn't the Chelsea fans be directing their anger at their Russian owner rather than Rafa, it was him who sacked Di Matteo.

    That would require thought..

What's this bollox about Hodgson, there were no banners for his first game, no abusive chants, he got great support at the start.

    You're obsessed with Liverpool

We are talking about this match

Never knew how hated Benitez was by Chelsea. Always thought it was United fans who would have disliked him. To boo your new manager like that before he has even got through a game is unheard of.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,907 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

All that's missing here is a disgruntled fan throwing his season ticket at Benitez.

Yep, played well in Serie A as an 18 year old. Not 20 til the end of March.

Nope, just pointing out some more hypocrisy, as usual you try and deflect with saying it's nothing to do with this thread.

    shoot Mata ffs!

Luiz was immense at left back against Liverpool a few years back when with Benfica. Wonder would Chelsea be better off just playing him at fullback and leave Ivanovic and Cahill/Terry in the center.

The guy just wants to run the pitch everytime he gets the ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,829 ✭✭✭✭Panthro

The passing has been absolutely woeful from Chelsea.
