HB Iceburgers go Thinner Now 4 instead of 6

    :mad: bought a box of iceburgers there yummy usually 6 now there only 4 and there thinner in witdh not lenght and they cost more

    never again

    tesco still shows 6 packs of HB ones. Were these walls brand?

    Those have always been very expensive for what they are. Is there any biscuit/wafer out there similar to them? all I ever see is bog standard thin rectangular wafers

    I noticed nice askey waffle cones in tesco the other day. When you look at the price per ml on individual ice creams like magnum or cornetto they are huge compared to even the better quality carte d'or tubs.

    A cheapo version of these fancy ice creams like hagen daz is to just break up biscuits and mix in with regular ice cream. Like crush bourbon creams into vanilla icecream.

    Icebergers are a old HB product and are made in Ireland just for Irish market (loop the loop, wibly wobbly, brunch are same)

    Depending on shop, you can get 4 pack and 6 packs.

    any reference to back that up? most searches are saying local HB brands are made in Cavan.

    Every time I drive by the NAMA site which was Hazelbrook, I tell my children thats were they made Ice cream when I was your age. The wife is getting fed up with stories of trips around the factory and free samples. But it is good to tell the kids about the things we lost during the tiger years.....

    When is the money (including lost growth) Michael Noonan took in the Pension Levy going to be paid back?

    Bit of a bump, but HB's local brands are made by Lakeland Dairies in Cavan.

    Were they the ones that used to be called "Golly Bars", and had a controversial picture on the wrapper?

    no golly bars are just a block of vanilla ice cream on a stick...the ONLY icecream i was allowed as a kid. icebergers have a kinda soft biscuit encapsulating the block of ice cream and are the icecream that i was allowed when i got bigger :D
