First time cooking for new fella!

Hey Boardsies, Well, I'm romancing and he is coming to my house Friday and it's going to be my first time cooking for him. I want something that I can bung in the oven or do quickly just before eating because I need time to get ready. Any ideas for something foolproof? Aiming for 3 courses. Ideas gratefully received xxx

A bit of roast beef or pork with some spuds and veg., real men like that kind of thing, ( well I do anyway). Use your imagination for dessert.

As you don't tell us what your food likes/dislikes are, what type of cuisine you fancy cooking or any other relevant information I suggest that you use the forum search function to find recipes that may suit you & your culinary abilities.
