Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    It simply does not work!

3 of us sitting around each other each with an Iphone with bluetooth on and "discoverable" and none of us could find each other or even be seen on the devices. On an Iphone 4, 4S and 5

On comes an Android and its able to see my Iphone and request to be paired, I cant see his until he requests to be paired even those mine is searching and his is set to discoverable.

    Any ideas guys?

You cannot share files between iPhones, something to do with copyright laws on the music etc

You will also not be able to see other iPhones in your vicinity with bluetooth.

Not any phones so I'm guessing?

Is blutooth pretty much just for headset devices at this stage with Iphone so?

Can the iPhone connect to photo printing machines in pharmacies etc using Bluetooth?

But just back to my original question, I could connect to the Android once it requested the pairing?

Yes you can see other phones, as well as iPads. Connecting is the problem, even to iPads, which it should do easily to use it as a remote etc. Apple's implementation of BT, even allowing for them crippling it for sharing, is shockingly bad. The amount of times I can pick up every other phone in the room, yet I can't get it to "see" the iPad without 15 attempts is embarrassing. I think on OS5 they changed it so that you needed to enable personal hotspot before you could pair them. They didn't seem to tell anyone that mind.......

I use bluetooth to transfer files etc with my iMac no problem.

There are also several Apps that allow chatting and transfer of files between iPhones.
