Lads is it a bit harsh on fellas who kept the 18th free to change it at this late stage? I know it's impossible to suit everyone but hadn't the 18th been confirmed in Tulferris, no? I know we need to get as many to each outing as we can so I'm just putting it out there to see what fellas think.

It's a bit harsh alright but I think the Saturday outings work better for people. The only other event we had on a Sunday we nearly had to cancel due to lack of people committing to it. The committee are just trying to make it as fair as possible for the majority. It is never going to suit everybody all the time.

Oh I definitely agree that Saturdays probably suit better than Sundays. It's just that this particular outing was flagged for that Sunday for a while. Look it's not a major deal. If it's changed, it's changed.

Grand job lads, the 10th it is, in Thurles. Just submitting the release forms. May take up til the 9th to process.

So if I play Tulfarris on the 18th, does that mean I can pick up 500 points if you guys are in Thurles?

So now we have a teamer message sent out for 10th in Thurles.... presumably to replace the one that was cancelled there back in March (or was it April?)

Is there then also a game the following week in Tulfarris? or has this one also been shifted?

Think tulfarris is cancelled as it did not suit most. Thurles replaces it on the 10th.

Well that caught me on the hop, thought it would be scheduled for the following week(the week after Tulfarris)
Brownie points were earned by committing up until the last weekend of the month.
If I'm there, I'll be the one stinking of drink!

Doesn't look too good for the Thurlus outing. Very quiet and a lot of usual suspects can't make it. It would be a shame to not get the numbers up to at least 20. Then again it is holiday season.

As for the rest of us we have submitted the permission slips and will have to amend such permission slips and should hopefully receive written approval approx 12hrs prior to tee off:D:D

Think my slip was lost in the post. Will have to re-submit and phone to verify, if it was received and an estimate on the lead time for processing.

I think ther are loads of rivals you forgot, but I'll let them give you an ear full.

I had my permission slip entered in plenty of time and granted for either of the other dates but got a refusal for the 10th!!! Am still working on it though!!

In Trim for the weekend at a do and I can't get away for the day, will be spinning back to Dublin for a club comp instead.

Guys, I meant to mention on Saturday that I have a voucher for a fourball in my own club, but it is fairly restrictive for use.
Was thinking if a few lads want to play in Greystones, maybe we can arrange something?

Well lads (what happened the lassie?)
Here is the updated GOTY leaderboard after the weekend, plenty of movers after Saturday. My win really helped me to climb the table and paulo53 is coming after the top guys at some rate! Its all to play for the top and there is still a few Ryder Jug places can be won and lost depending on the last round.

We added in another column at the end to show the best 5 result so far (Remember the top 5 count) which shakes it up even more heading in the final round in a few weeks time - an announcement will be made on this later today.

Gonna be a good finale to this years events.

Something tells me your managing your assault very well. In fact so well that it is now mathematically impossible for you to win the GOTY but you can of course take the coveted Captains Prize.

I only dropped 2 places without playing so that was a good outcome although I think top 10 is gone for this year
