Egg Bar Shoes

Hi All

I have a query that i cant seem to find an answer too so thought maby someone here can help
My horse needs to wear egg bar shoes with snow rim pads.
Problem is he keeps pullin shoes off in field when its anyway wet at all. Im guessing the egg bar is acting like a suction cup in the muck hense shoe off.
I am wondering is there anyone using some kind of boot that goes over whole shoe to keep it on in this situation..
Lot of money going down the drain between replacing buired shoes and farrier call outs
Then we have lameness from stone bruising as a result of no shoe (prone to stone bruising on off fore hence the snow rim pads):(:(

We used something along these lines in my last yard, we had a horse prone to lameness but we couldn't shoe him (he went absolutely nuts anytime a farrier came near him):

Is this what you're looking for? These can even be used for riding, if you had to ride in a field.

I would use extra large over-reach boots on the horse as much as possible, even when out in the field- always works with my lad, he wears egg-bar shoes too.

Had a look at a few types of boots but I need something to pull over his shoes so the fitting wouldn't be right on the boots.. Cheers for replying:D

Yeah i did that before then he got mud rash from the mud all stuck up in the over reach boot but what I am going to try is a lot of vaseline then the boot and hopefully that will work.
If I had him at my own place I would be washing his legs when he would come in in the evening but he's in livery so that isnt done...:(

Yeah I was looking at a couple of videos on these boots and how they are fitted and also thought it would never work over a shoe..

Hi, I have used the Equi-Boot and they are useless in mud.

I just saw an ad in an equestrian magazine for these:

they look like a real good invention. only i doesnt say it can be used with an egg bar shoe so i will have to look into that...
