HTC Desire HD can't hold signal following unlock?

    Hi all,

    As per the title; I bought a network-locked Desire HD (new) and had it unlocked by software in the city centre. The problem is that with my Meteor SIM the handset cannot get a signal. It is always at 1 bar/X bars, and basically can't make/receive calls. I have updated to the latest Android release via the phone's software update. It seems to be the same whether I select GSM, WCDMA, or Both.

    Has anyone any ideas? Any help appreciated.
