I'll continue to wait to read what the club have to say, i'm sure they're more in the know than the Sun :P

The thing is, you can almost double what the club say - Kaboul, Benny, etc all took way longer to heal than originally reported. I hope he's not out for the season but I wouldn't be surprised. It's a great shame as he's been brilliant, but I think Scotty will be really up for it. He's fully rested, hopefully fully fit and will be dying to get stuck in.

While that's true, at least they'll be going on their medical staff's estimation..not just a figure they plucked outta their arse for a headline :pac:

Completely agree about parker, a little while ago I was wondering how he'd manage to get back into the team...now that's sorted I'm expecting him to boss it.

The bandaging that is on his leg leads me to believe it's ligament damage (ACL). Also, the way he went down, no impact! Definitely out for the season by the looks of things. Just hoping he comes back the same beast that he is. Get well soon crazy man!!

    Yeah: http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/spurs/News/sandro-latest-18012013.page?

This is a big blow, hopefully Parker can step into his shoes and form a good partnership with Dembele but it does leave us light in CM now.

Hopefully Sandro is back to his best for the start of our CL campaign next season!

I like your positivity, but it doesn't disguise the fact that we are losing probably our standout performer of the season so far.

We are replacing him with last seasons outstanding player

The worry is that Parker will get injured , that wud be a disaster

Yes but Parker is nearly 9/10 years older than Sandro so it's a concern.

But listen, every team gets injuries throughout a season, we just have to move on and deal with it. The fact that we have Parker to step in shows how far we have come over the last few years. Assuming we don't buy anyone, I'd be keeping both Hudd and Jake now as back up for Parker. COYS

We should have someone coming through to replace Parker and not be in this position. PArker only has 2-3 season left in him.

I wonder if we will make a late move for that M'villa headcase or whatever you call him

Pretty nasty, the risk is now with Parker, he looked fit the last few games but if he was to pull up after the window closes we would be considerably weak for the run in taking into account EPL, EL and FA Cup games..

Completely agree with that hatch. To be fair apart from Benny and Kaboul who were out before the season started weve been lucky with injuries.

Parker is definitely match fit at this stage and he should easily be able to put in a serious shift for the next 4 months!

    COYS

Holy Fcuk, is that really his knee ?
Agree in what you said if parker got a knock, we'd struggle.

We'll have to sign a midfielder, even if it's a loan... Huddlestone and Livermore aren't up to the task.

Yes but problem is who is available on loan that would be on improvement on either.

    Sandro recovering in Brazil

Tottenham midfielder Sandro is being allowed to work his way back to full fitness in his homeland with the medical staff of Internacional.

The Brazilian suffered a season-ending knee injury in the 0-0 Premier League draw with Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road in January.

He underwent surgery to repair the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and is now recuperating in South America with his former club.

Sandro, who moved to White Hart Lane in an £8million deal with Internacional three years ago, believes the time spent in the southern hemisphere will aid his recovery.

He told Globo Esporte: "It will help me a lot being in an environment I know.

"Tottenham know Internacional's staff and how they treat the players, so that helped them release me."

Bit of a strange one but I suppose whatever helps him get back to his best as soon as possible. Hopefully he can convince Daimao to hand in a transfer request while he's there!

As long as it's just for recovery, and he gets back here afterwards (without any talk of moving), i've no problem with this. Being in the right frame of mind is just as important for recovery, and if being at home helps him get back quicker, then all the better.

Not all that unusual, i know Liverpool had Lucas do his rehab at home as well, think he is Brazilian as well?. With such an extensive period of rehab i suppose its better to have him near family and friends rather than training away in london mostly away from the players etc. What a great player he is and is sorely missed.

Is Sandro expected to be fit for the start of the season? He hasn't participated in any of the preseason matches so far.

“The knee still needs to get stronger and learn how to move again, and I’m still not completely confident about going in for 50-50 balls,” said the 24-year-old, who was leading the English Premier League’s tackling statistics at the time his knee gave way. “That’s my strong suit after all: fighting for possession, defending and winning the ball back. That’s how I’ve got this far and how I worked my way into the Brazil team.”
