Insurance for lost passport

Hey, Just wondering does travel insurance generally cover loss of passport? And if not, could someone point me in the direction of policies that do. Thanks.

most do, especially if lost whilst abroad on travel. I suppose tis cheaper for them to pay for the new one to be issued, rather than have to board and feed you away from home, and then to fly you home afterwards!
