Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The Late Late Toy Show Drinking Game
    • A child forgets where they are and has to be hauled off stage by a crew member.
    • Jedward appear.
    • The batteries are dead in a toy even though “it worked in rehearsals”.
    • A kid gives ten out of ten to every toy they have to review.
    • Something is given to everyone in the audience.
    • A robot malfunctions.
    • The camera spots a middle aged man in the audience that looks mortified to be dressed up as an elf.
    • A member of a boyband comes to visit with one or more of their unenthusiastic children.
    • Two kids on tractors/bikes crash into each other.
    • Dana appears in the book section, trying to flog more copies of the constitution.
    • In the baby section from earlier you see a child BAWLING.
    • The Billy Barry kids come on.
    • Any sort of Irish dancing.
    • Any reference to the Recession.
    • You must down your drink if:
    • If any charity single is played.
    • If there is a broom dance or Seanos singing.

    Any other ideas?

I have worked in a toy shop. No I won't be watching it. Gaudy cheep Chinese crap being flogged with jaw dropping mark ups. And it's all crap, and anything that isn't entirely crap will break within a few weeks. And I don't like kids.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,919 ✭✭✭Schism

God I hate it when they sing, I will watch it but intermittently.

Everytime Turbidy breaks a toy, you must down your drink.

You have to take a drink if Ryan soaks the audience with a giant water pistol. You have to down your drink if a child lists more than 5 faults when reviewing a toy... But still gives it 10 out of 10.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 308 ✭✭spodoinkle

I'll be watching, it wouldnt be Christmas without it. Tubirdy is still a douchebag though.

Who will be the next John Joe?

He was one of a kind. Some of the other "precocious" kids that feature on there are annoying, he was great!

    My wish list tonight is:

Weeing and Pooing dolls - hopefully really messy ones
Dustin (or is he old hat these days?)
    Jedward on amphetamines.

I wonder will Ryan be controversial and pull out the breast feeding dolly tonight

Every time a special ed child appears on stage you have to take a drink and hold it in your mouth and try not to laugh!

The regulars in The Ryan Turbirty Late Late Show Death Cult thread won't like this

I always feel sorry for the poor choir who come on last, sweltering in their knitted hats, scarves and gloves under the studio lights and gurning like mad!

  • Registered Users Posts: 567 ✭✭✭.Henry Sellers.

Everytime Ryan awkwardly pushes a child you have to call the guards and then take a drink

I'll be recording it, as I'm out tonight. Am planning on baking tomo, so will watch and bake!

We were just discussing all the awkward moments in work earlier-like when Tubs holds a mic up to a doll/robot etc to let everyone hear what it's saying and it comes out as nonsensical noise.

Or when the bike parade happens and a child randomly stops in the middle of the stage for no good reason and has to be enticed off by a stagehand.

Or a child gets lost and drives off where they shouldn't be going and a stagehand as to run after them.

Or when one kid is really loud and keeps interrupting the other kid who is trying to show their toy :pac:

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 555 ✭✭✭Hippies!

Anytime a ginger kid with a "hippy" or "old farmer/culchie" complex comes on.

Anytime Ryan does a bad touch.

Anytime Ryan says he's in love with one of the kids.

A sympathy drink for the boring nerds in the book corner.

A celebratory drink if John Joe returns to the book corner.

Toy show preview. That skinny lad with the Groucho Marx eyebrow and nose combo talking about jumpers, kids dressed as movie characters and jumpers:

I used to really hate the Billie Barry kids when I was a child. I wanted to see cool toys, not frickin' dancing and choirs.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 34,809 ✭✭✭✭smash

I think it's hilarious when a kid is showing Tubridy how to use some arts and crafts kit and he has a go and completely fúcks up the thing they were making. Last year there was some spinning disc and you put little drops of paint on it and it made a picture. Tubridy stands up and pours on too much paint which completely obliterated her picture :D

Nice to know there are horrible people like you who laugh at children with a disability. Thankfully my child with special needs has a lovely personality something which you clearly lack. No amount of physio or therapy will help the likes of you.
