It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Why on earth would a lesbian even consider posting in this thread?

so all of you are gays, or had experience with it :P

    really?

    and

    a) what leads you to that conclusion

    b) determines that you are the very person to do the educating?

Nah - most of the posters here are straight men getting their thrills from talking about lesbians. Some of us are gay men.

I would take offence to that but I can't be bothered. If you think I get some giddy thrill from the thought of speaking about lesbianism you are mistaken. I was wondering if there was a psychology too it.

How come some gay men are attracted to feminine gay men and some who dress as a woman?

the reason you are confused is you have interpreted my reaction as one of annoyance. It isnt. not in the slightest :)

Without wanting this thread to generate into relentless smut, can anyone offer a sociological/psychiatric reason as to why Lesbians use dildos?

Homosexuals are attracted to the same sex obviously, so how can a lesbian pleasure herself or her partner using a plastic replica of male genitalia, something which they identify as being unattracted to? It strikes me as paradoxical.

"I am attracted to women yet use plastic imitations of the penis to pleasure my sexual partner"

It just seems odd or contradictory to me.

Aren't Dildos penis shaped but Vibrators not*.

I thought they were into the later myself.

I don't think they use the penis shaped ones.

    Thank you :)

I dont disagree with him bringing up the point either, he/she was quoting my post.

I countered the comment with two perfectly reasonable and rational questions

This thread gave me a laugh :D

For all the guy's who are confused with regard to gay women using dildos, I think you'll find that the vast majority don't(more likely vibrators but that goes for straight women too).
The vagina is not the woman's sex organ so therefore is not dependant on the penis.

    Not weird at all.

It's weird assuming all straight women and all gay men are attracted to penises.

No. It is a weird thing to say.

It sounds like you were referring to asexual people. But you didnt say that. I just noticed you are a mod in the 'Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender' forum ... i am not shocked to see you post in this thread so. But:
Some people are ignorant and need educating

That is the only reason you are posting in this thread. You saw a thread title named "Lesbians" and the crusder came out in you. It doesnt matter what its about or what was said ... you just feel a need to "educate" people.

No, stupid comments were made and Mango Salsa made a bit of a stab at putting some misconceptions straight (no pun intended :P).

Why would you be so vehement about another posters reason for posting? People post because they have something to add or to say, its not for anyone else to assume their motivations.

Because they are mentally unstable and they don't know which they like and what they are.

There's a gay girl I know who I was with once a few years ago. We were drinking in a bar, shared a cab home, she invited me in, we ended up having sex, we have mutual friends but wouldn't be very close ourselves so wasn't that weird, besides the fact that she is gay.

I go home after and never really think of it. Eventually we are out again with the same group of friends and I ask her about it and she replies "I'm not attracted to men, but I really like being ****ed, and sometime all I really want is a dick, probably only once or twice a year, but I'll really crave it". Went on to tell me that most of her gf's down the years have admitted something similar, that not matter how much they prefer women or how much they enjoy girl on girl sex, sometimes they just want to be ****ed by a man, because it feels different.

I don't know if this is true for all lesbians, in fact I'd imagine it's not. But it kinda made sense to me at the time...

Years ago there was some lesbian documentary on channel 4. They were demonstrating some of the stuff they do for sex. One of them put on a strap on, that was made to look like a real dick, and the other gets down and starts sucking the plastic cock???

There is a cure for heterosexuals :pac:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/4174519.stm
The US military investigated building a "gay bomb", which would make enemy soldiers "sexually irresistible" to each other, government papers say.

    ...
The plan for a so-called "love bomb" envisaged an aphrodisiac chemical that would provoke widespread homosexual behaviour among troops, causing what the military called a "distasteful but completely non-lethal" blow to morale.

As somebody's pointed out, a lot of lesbians have absolutely no interest in penetrative sex, or dildos. Although if your entire window on the lesbian world is porn, you may believe otherwise. G spot and psychological aspect aside, most women don't actually get a whole lot out of the actual vagina action in itself because it's not really all that sensitive past the entrance.

The second point is that dildos aren't so much shaped to replicate the shape of penises as they are the reverse of a vagina, and some people enjoy contracting around something while being otherwise stimulated.
