Vonets Wifi setup problems

    Hi Lads,
    I bought this vonets wifi bridge for my dreambox.
    I hooked it up to my laptop and inserted the disc and downloaded everything that is needed.
    I click on the vap11g icon and the wifi bridge setup came on but when i click the refresh list it says searching for wifi bridge and nothing happens.
    I have set up a bridge in the internet settings and still nothing.
    The firmware on the disc is 5.0.20.2. my laptop is xp.
    I have been sitting around this laptop for hours now and am pritty close to flinging this little thing in the fire for a bit of heat :D. Can anyone help me out with this is there something i can try or something i havent seen,
    Can someone shade some light over this as im in the dark?
