67 and 17 on the bench in Begovic and Shawcross who if i had played them instead of Schwazer and Mertesacker would see me 14 points better off. First time breaking 50 in 6 weeks tho and up to 45k overall

45 for the week pre bps, i am hopeless....

The chairman and the members of the board have had a meeting after this weeks games and it has been decided to terminate my contract with immediate effect.

Despite my moderate success in previous years, the results this year have been absolutely appalling and the board feel the sacking is necessary if the club are to continue moving in the right direction.

River Village Rangers chairman Barry Bossman :: " He's won a lot of money for himself and the club in previous years with the many private leagues he's participated in, but despite having a solid squad, he just hasn't been as successful this season.

This is a results business and Rickylovesuall just hasn't built up enough points. We wish him every success in the future and hope that he finds a more successful managerial position next year. "

I'll finish on 55 when Shawcross comes in. Happy enough with that given my disastrous Bale to Mata switch, and the fact that Fellaini was on the bench.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,256 ✭✭✭✭Lemlin

38 points for the week and only down to 127k in the world.

I had 24 points on the bench in Michu and Begovic.

My own fault for poor decision making. I even said here to someone on the board on Friday that Arsenal were weak in the air so Michu may be effective against them.

Then I inexplicably didn't pick him myself. To add to that stupidity, I decided Jussi was a better option than Begovic on Saturday morning.

Surprised I haven't fallen further but still fairly happy with my team. Might take Sterling out for Puncheon next and free up further cash ahead of Xmas.

Already did Rafael to Caulker today.

I'm looking to do the same along with Tevez to Suarez the following week.

I'm only going to do it if price increases/decreases force me into it before the weekend as I've already got a nice starting XI lined up for next week.

What are you talking about? Average is 40......I got bleedin 25!

Amazingly I only fell to 280k in the world. Was inside the top 3k early on.

Now the WC needs to change my fortunes.

58 points with Ben Arfa and Ba left to play.

I looked at that wrong 45 after bps... ive dropped to exactly 450k in the last 3 or 4 weeks! Im not even sure what to do next with my team! Everything i seem to touch this season turns to shit!

I was in your position 10 weeks ago. I used my WC and haven't looked back since. Take it easy, don't make silly decisions and try to limit your point hits. I haven't taken any this season and I've done alright. I did the same last year and I was very pleased with my final position.

It's a marathon and there are still over 20 weeks left. You could easily get within the top 4/5,000 within half that time. All you need is a bit of luck and some good decision making.

So last weeks transfers worked out well.

Swapped Baines (7) + Mata (7) for Azpilicueta (1) + Bale (2) at a 4 point hit. Cost me 15 points and now Bale is injured. Coupled with the fact that Fletcher is also now injured and Rafael is a rotation doubt, I might struggle to field 11 this weekend.

Standard points left on the bench too. This game is far too unpredictable sometimes. I couldn't have worked the Baines transfers any worse if I tried, should have listened to myself from the start and avoided him!

this season as a whole is just unpredictable.

with only the 2 Manchester clubs being properly better than anyone else, it makes most of the games a bit of a lottery.

almost weekly there will be points left on the bench.

it'll be 48 for me this week once Cuellar comes in. meh.

    get this...

if i'd put Michu in the team ahead of Sterling, and RVP's goal that was over the line had stood, i'd be about 30 points better off.

    Michu - 16 points.
    Smalling assist - 3 points.
    RVP goal (4x2) - 8 points.
take away 2 points for Sterling not being in the team.

plus at least one bonus point for RVP as a result I reckon.

    it's just mental.

though Smalling getting 60 minutes and a clean sheet was lucky obviously, the rest comnpletely outweighed it this week.

chin up, and move on to next week. still in the top 100 worldwide this morning, though that will probably change after tonight.

72 points all in, not too bad. My big worry for next week now is Rafael or lack of in the United team, I don't think Alex will like his carry on after he took him off.

    slap.

My 4 players on the bench got a total of 35 points which was only 5 points off the average, Opps :(

Ouch. I told you avoid Azpilicueta but for completely different reasons (rotation risk). I said to check out Nastasic instead and he got benched too!

FWIW, those transfers looked pretty good on Saturday. These things happen.

Need Ba to leave me a nice parting gift of a hattrick tonight. No one in my money league top ten has anyone playing tonight and so it's the perfect opportunity to really pull ahead. Currently 37 ahead.

Wigan don't get results at Newcastle, hope this trend continues tonight,Ba to do damage before he goes on holiday from my team as Fletcher comes in for DGW (please be fit Fletch)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,747 ✭✭✭Swiper the fox

I had a total of 55 this week, my transfers were Mata and Rooney out, Michu and Van Persie in so it pretty much balanced out. Captain Suarez was a let down but he's gotten me a lot of points recently so thats cool.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,290 ✭✭✭Oregano_State

65 points for me this week. first week in a while I've broken the 60 point barrier.

Was contemplating transfers last week, but I forgot to do them and it's just as well because it meant that Mata was still in the team.

My defenders were the only ones to let me down really, Sagna Ivan and Raf. Decided to make 2 changes for next week; Sagna and Ivan out, Evra and Shawcross in.

Evra's got a bit of form going now. Wouldn't have predicted that at the start of the season, and with Rafael looking like he might be left out for a game or two, Evra will be tasked with romping up the wings even more than usual. I hope.

Ivanovich had to go because Chelsea are gone to pot at the back.

Only other regret from this week was Nolan not getting anything.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,267 ✭✭✭✭manual_man

finished on 43 (47-4) after a spectacular 4 pt hit gone wrong - took out Baines (7pts this week) in order to be able to afford to bring in Suarez who i gave the armband to. ouch ouch ouch. misery compounded by having Michu first sub who didn't come in. this game can be so so cruel at times

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,589 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

yup, even though i'm still riding high worldwide, it's amazing how much of a kick in the balls this game can still be.

Michu 1st sub will annoy me all week whenever FF comes up in my mind.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,938 ✭✭✭AdpRo

I have had Michu from the start and he has played every minute of the season for me and more than likely will reamin in my team until the end!

I can sort of see the logic of playing Sterling ahead of Michu if you didn't have Liverpool cover but I can't feel sorry for anyone who already had Suarez and / or Enrique in there team and played Sterling instead of Michu, you can never trust Liverpool and I would never play 3 of them and I'm a fan! They have only scored more then one goal in Anfield twice this year and only scored one against Reading earlier this season, in saying all that I captained Suarez over RVP unfortunately.

    Points on bench are 0,1,1,0

Says on site that ben arfa is expected back on dec 01. But he is defo out for tonights match according to nufc.co.uk
Crap!! Was hoping hed be back. 1 point coming off the bench.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,709 ✭✭✭✭Cantona's Collars

65 so far with Ba to play,a decent week with green arrows pretty much all round.

One guy who was blazing a trail in a private league finished on 20 with Evra his highest points earner (5) On paper his team looked decent but failed this week.

Almost the same here. Have him from the start but had him benched for week 1. That hurt. He has been in my team ever since and willl remain there unless he gets injured

56 pts this week. Jose Enrique, Michu, Fellaini and RVP (c) getting me the big points.

    All green arrows.

Begovic on my bench with 9 was dissapointing after going with Schwarzer the home keeper.

Still waiting to hear back from FPL about Van Persie been awarded points for the goal that was clearly over the line.
    This was their reply:
“No, this will not be counted. Only goals awarded in the match will result in points being awarded in the game. Hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Fantasy Premier League Support”
    Was worth a try.

Hoping BA does nothing tbh, few in my league desperately need him to do it tonight.

A Ba hat trick would do me just fine. Only have 36 points

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,141 ✭✭✭Santi101

Yeah seems like a few really need Ba to pull it out tonight, fingers crossed he bottles it!

I found myself happy that Suarez didnt do anything against Southampton on Saturday too, even though I have him. Mainly because I knew the leaders in my league would captain him while I went with RVP. This game is deranged at times! Mind you, that RVP goal that was ruled out was costly all the same.

I would love it if BA did well tonight. Problem is that he will have no supply. If Ben Arfa had been back tonight then maybe but as it is I doubt it

Ba has been pretty reliable, even though the Toon are struggling big time.

Dont like Ben Arfa at all, had him in my side for 2 or 3 weeks, frustrating as hell!
