Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Manchester City

    01 Hart
    03 Maicon
    04 Kompany
    06 Lescott
    13 Kolarov
    08 Nasri
    18 Barry
    21 Silva
    42 Y Toure
    10 Dzeko
    32 Tevez

    Substitutes

    30 Pantilimon
    05 Zabaleta
    28 K Toure
    11 Sinclair
    14 Garcia
    16 Aguero
    45 Balotelli

    Everton

    Everton
    24 Howard
    02 Hibbert
    03 Baines
    06 Jagielka
    15 Distin
    04 Gibson
    21 Osman
    22 Pienaar
    25 Fellaini
    07 Jelavic
    14 Naismith

    Substitutes

    01 Mucha
    05 Heitinga
    08 Oviedo
    16 Hitzlsperger
    20 Barkley
    19 Gueye
    27 Vellios

A very attack-minded defense with Maicon and Kolarov. Aguero benched with Tevez and Dzeko up front today. Milner's injury mid-week keeps him out of the squad today. Could go either way this one!

    My prediction: 1-1

Kolarov already has a problem, Zabaleta's coming on. We're running out of full backs :o

Good start for Everton. Gibson has started well.

Kolarov off already with an injury, Zabaleta on.

Zab should've started so I'm fine with that.

Not impressed with Nastasic absent, no need to change a winning back four.

Just noticed Nastasic isn't included today, Joleon Lescott is back instead. Anybody know where he is?

Maybe it's my computer screen but it looks like there's a bit of kit clash to me.

    Na looks good to me!

Nah, not near a kit clash. We've much lighter shirts and white shorts, sort out your screen ;)

Blue and blue sounds close to me...

Maybe I need one of these.

Complete opposite shades of blue. Nowhere near a clash.

Kinda shows how this game is going so far when we're all talking about the kits. :pac:

    Well defended Dzeko.

Big Felli!! Ah yeah, can't wait to Rocket's celebration on Soccer AM

What has happened to Yaya Toure, by the way? Looks a shadow of the player he was last year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,526 ✭✭✭✭Darkglasses

City need to speed up the passing I think, we're being a little too ponderous for 1-0 down

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,526 ✭✭✭✭Darkglasses

Penalty! Fellaini pulls down Dzeko, cancels out his good work for the goal :D

Dispatched nicely by Carlitos, straight down the middle.

And that's half time! Came to life at long last.

Wonder if it will be Lescott or Nastasic for the United game? I hope Nastasic.

    Yaya's been shit again

I'm not saying it wasn't a penalty, but Probert may have some explaining to do afterwards

Not at all. Probert isn't the issue, it's the referees who don't give these penalties week in, week out.

It was a blatant foul but, like foul throw ins amongst other things, it's a breach of the rules that is rarely if ever pulled up.

    Probert was spot on.

He is letting similar things go in the middle of the pitch, or is it only a foul if it's in the penalty area? I agree that consistency is the issue here, but it may be a quite while before we see another penalty given for something like that.

Indeed, Tevez got away with a ridiculous push a few minutes ago.

Will take a point, hate playing Everton.

The unbeaten home record rolls on to the Derby next week...

    Nice one Everton :D

Think a draw was a fair result, not the prettiest of games, neither team did enough to win

Everton have to be a serious shout for top 4 especially when you see Arsenal and Chelsea's current form!
