No a single USB port does not have enough power to drive 10 devices hence the need for a powered hub.

daisy chain some 4 port hubs together

but unless devices are using next to no power it ain't going to work

stick in a few internal 5 port usb port cards into your pc

you might fit 2 of these cards in so you'd have 10 ports without needing a charger

note to use the 2 internal ports u will need to remove a backplate from one of the expansion slots and put the 2 least likely usb cables you would be unplugging often in through the open expansion slot hole. (keyboard and mouse would the best two to choose)

USB will supply up to 500mA
(assuming at least one device requests more than 100mA)

you could use a double headed adaptor to get some more, but no point because you could just have used a pair of usb hubs instead

Like Cap mentions, the host USB port will only supply 500mA (or more in specific circumstances, on specific motherboards supporting specific drivers and devices, like ASUS AI Charging). If you are running 10 devices off one port, each port is getting, at best, 50mA. This is far below what a USB device will require to run, the typical minimum is 100mA and that assumes you're getting the full 100mA, which is why most hubs stop at 4 ports and deliver 125mA. An external hard drive for instance usually needs close to all of that 500mA power, to the point where unless you have a gold-plated cable or a very short one you lose too much power in the cord to electrical resistance and the drive wont fire on properly. Other full power devices are going to include Wireless adapters for Mice, Headphones, Keyboards, Bluetooth, and 802.11a/b/g/n/ac. Charging MP3 players and phones would also be out of the question.
