Hi,

I rented a car two weeks ago and on that day they took 200 from my card for the car rental and 200 deposit. All fine.

Now the Monday during the rental the 400 was refunded onto my card.

I dropped the car Bach yesterday, got my paperwork and headed on my way.

However, no money had been taken from my account.

How long do I have to legally wait for them to take the money?

My cc has a very low limit and I put cash onto the card for rental and deposit, I want to transfer the balance back off my card, but as I'm being billed in sterling I don't know exactly how much I need to leave on my card.

Anything up to 6 months is what they are generally allowed. However it will normally only be a matter of days
