pppoe problem

my ps3 suddenly began to fail to connect through pppoe for nat type 1 after it was left off for a week. it will connect to nat type 3 both wired and wirelessly no problem. its never had this problem before. is there anything I can do through the router settings page to either fix or diagnose the problem? nb.
