Newtown to Kildare - transport

Just wondering is there any public or private transport operating in that are?
Or a car is the only option to get from Newtown to Kildare town?

you would have to get a bus from cloncurry cross into dublin and then the 126 goes from busarus to kildare and maybe further

Is there any rural transport available?

It's about 7km round trip from there to the bus stop and back. You could walk but the path stops about halfway. I suppose a taxi would be about a fiver each way maybe a little more.

There is a shuttle bus for Kildare village which might go to nurney so that might suit

The bus only goes from the train station to the village so no good. I dot know if there is any private bus service

decent pair of walking shoes and decent brolly - its not a long walk unless its the far end of what is described as Newtown.

If its the nursing home, its a 15 min walk from Kildare town.
