In order to qualify for band lifetime achievement award, the group must have been around for at least 20 years and still be going strong.

All other catagories are based on events and releases from 2012. Simply post your votes in this thread. Hope to see a good number of votes, and am looking forward to seeing the winners!

Am pretty sure of my answers for 8 or 9 cats, but with almost 4 weeks left in the year (and a few releases and reissues due this month) am curious how much time we have to check outany Decemner stuff.

I'll say cut off point is January 7th. Gives the full month to check out this stuff and then a little deciding time.

Very tempted to change my reissue of the year choice after picking up the 20th Anniversary edition of Countdown To Extinction.

Excellent remaster done on the sound (far superior to the pretty poor reissue of the same album in 2004) and the live cd that comes as an extra is pretty good and tops the live cd that came with the Peace Sells reissue from 2011 imo.

No think I will stay put. Bought another reissue today and it had me rethinking my rethink.


Probably best I just stay with my first choice rather than changing two or three times at the death.
