What is the most beautiful song you have ever heard? Obviously, beauty is subjective, but there must be a song that defines 'beautiful' more than any other for you. For me, it would be Svefn-g-englar by Sigur Ros.

The whole thing is astonishing, but the falsetto chorus at 3:03 is particularly heart-rending.

What would it be for you? And please, pick the one song that means the most, not a litany of songs.

Absolutely impossible for me to pinpoint just one as the most beautiful I've ever heard but for the purpose of the thread and the fact that it's high on my list at the moment, I'll go with this amazing piece from Yann Tiersen.

TSUKI NO UTA (MOONLIGHT BALLAD) by GACKT
First heard this one as the ending song to the Anime, TEXHNOLYZE. Absolutely beautiful. Still floors me, everytime I hear it. The melodic guitar blends well with the haunting strings, not to mention Gackt's soul-piercing vocals, aching in its longing. It also has one of the most beautiful lyrics ever to grace a song.
