Monetizing walkthroughs on youtube

Has anyone here successfully monetized their gameplay or walkthroughs on youtube, with or without commentary ? I know in the states there a laws that leave a grey area for people to monetize their stuff if they put commentary over atleast afew minutes of their gameplay. And i have also seen people monetize "lets plays"…

Being partnered makes claiming gaming videos much easier and avoids the hassle of dealing with direct YouTube monetization. You could also utilise YouTube live streaming, Shows, and possibly a couple other things.
