Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

TEMPERATURE-Iphone needs to cool downbefore you can use it

Wife dropped her iphone 4 and smashed the screen on a rainy day. message showed Temperature Iphone needs to cool down before you can use it on startup.

I replaced the broken lcd screen but phone is still showing this error message. It returns to normal for a few seconds but then back to the warning screen.

Any ideas what the cause may be? Internal screw inside to show water damage had changed from white so water did get in to the phone. Might it be a battery problem or something worse.

    Thanks

    Eddie

I had this happen with a previous android phone... it took a bath and after drying out, everything worked mostly fine except that I was getting the high temp messages. Somehow, the moisture must affect the temperature sensor. If I remember correctly, it was in relation to the battery.

Or, perhaps moisture is causing sparking and heating?
