    Hi

I am looking to send a few 'Irish' presents to friends/ family oz and I'm a bit stuck. I don't want to send anything too heavy to avoid exhorbitant postage costs. I was thinking a couple of newbridge decorations and a Christmas in Ireland type book for kids. Does anyone have any other ideas for nice gifts from Ireland?

    Thanks for your help!

My dad sends a calendar every year to his nephews abroad, and sent one to me the year I was away too! He usually tries to get one with local-ish scenes, nice to have a picture of home up in the kitchen, and it changes every month! Also v. light for postage;)

Those Newbridge decorations weigh more than you'd think. And they're not to everyone's taste. Imho you can't go wrong with cheese and onion crisps and tea. My kids got sent this book http://www.amazon.com/This-Ireland-Miroslav-Sasek/dp/0789312247 which they loved.
