Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

iphone 4g won't charge

    Can someone please help me!
My iphone refused to charge last night. I thought it was the charger but I bought a new one today and it's not charging.
The phone has since died and I can't get it to charge. All that is showing on the screen is a battery and a lightning bolt. The battery has a small amount of red and it flashes a few times before the screen goes black. This has been happening for about 7 hours now.
I have tried to reboot the phone by holding down the 'home' button on the front and the top on/off button together but all that does is bring up the screen with the battery on it as I've already described. I have held the buttons for a few seconds up to a few minutes and no joy.
Is there anything else I can try? It's been charging around 7 hours now and still no luck. It's driving me mad!!

ETA: it just randomly came on there for a few seconds. I wasn't near it or anything when this happened. I had to unlock the pin. It said I had 10% battery but then it just died again as quick. While it was 'alive' I tried to charge it but it said that the charging device was not recognised. !!?? weird

The new charger you bought, is an official apple one or not? Also did you buy a complete one or just the USB bit (no new cable). If any of this applies try it with a different original apple charger, also your batt status is now so low it could take a couple of minutes before your phone will show it's charging after you plug it in.
If it still doesn't charge there must be a fault, either with the battery or the connector. If you're still under warranty contact apple. If it's out of warranty apple can still fix but it would be quite expensive (up to €160) so a local phone repair would be a better option (should be looking to pay around €30 to fix).
