    Hi,

    I already started a thread on this in the motors form, but I think I might get some more knowledgable responses here.

    This writing is a link to the other thread.

    I am wondering how long the process should take.

    I was involved in an accident, the other driver drove away but I got some of his details. I reported it to the garda and to both of out insurance companies straight away.

    I would like to know how long I am looking at before there is any kind of settlement.

    I still don't know if the other driver will admit liability or if they can even contact him (the garda havnt been able to)

    So, how long SHOULD it take for a claim for damage to my car if:

    1) He is contacted and admits liability
    2) He is contacted and denies liability
    3) They cant contact him
    4) They contact him but he denies an accident even took place.
