I'm in the Market for a new laptop. Something that I can play most games on a decent setting (Guildwars 2 for example), so really wondering where I can get and what I can get for my money. My budget is roughly €1300/ £1000. Any help would be appreciated. I was considering this MSI laptop,

so any thoughts? I'm not fussed on the Make of the PC so custom built is fine with me, but would prefer a screensize between 14-16inch.

Have a look at the vortex 3 at pc specialist You'll be dropping down in the processor stakes, but you can stick in a AMD 7970 and something like an i5 3210 and still remain on budget (provided you can resist the temptation of the extras !). The 660m will do a decent job too of course, but the 7970 is a big step up on it (2x-3x in some GPU benchmarks) and should future proof the machine nicely. The only cases I can see an i7 and the 660m maybe winning out is online games that are processor heavy (basically any mmo), but most games still only seem to make use of 2 cores, the 4 core i7 won't give you that much (despite every single gaming laptop maker sticking in the yokes with a mid-high end graphics card)

Thanks very much, had a look and looks like a good alternative and some serious options there, one of the main games I play is Guildwars 2 MMO I assume pretty processor heavy. Will really consider that as an option as like the custom ability of the laptops there
