Weekend Getaway?

Hi folks,

Need some ideas for a weekend getaway for my parents. I've bought them a 2 night stay in Inchydony previously but would love some ideas where to send them now!

Dad loves Golf and Mam is just into a weekend get away for the relaxation and shopping if there is any. Somewhere sunny might be a nice idea as well.

Ideally I'd like to be spending about €500 all in.

Mount Juliet is a lovely hotel and has a spa and swimming pool as well as the golf course. Kilkenny is not too far away and has some half decent shops. The coach house rooms are less pricey than the main house and are still lovely and they have some good deals.

I quite like the carlton hotel in kinsale, they have a lovely spa and kinsale isnt too far away for some gorgeous restaurants and boutiques.
Obviously the old head have a golf course down there, but i dont know if you can play that as its very exclusive. Worth a look into it though

Lima Golf

Stayed in the talbot hotel in belmullet in mayo last year and absolutely loved it. It's new and very stylish. Very like the G hotel.

There is a great golf course 3 miles out of town. It's among the top courses in the country.

I'm sure they could do a package of stay and play and pamper and dine or something to that effect!

Belmullet itself is a beautiful little town. Very quaint. There's some lovely walks and drives they could do.

Might also throw the k club in kildare in the mix. Have never stayed but they are doing plenty of offers of late.

Fota Island is beautiful, great golf course there too for your Dad.

Close to Cork city for shopping
