Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

i fone has stopped ringing

    hi, i recently bought an i fone 3g 8gb, it has lost its ringtone, when a ringtone is selected it playes it, however when a call is recieved it does not ring, the silent mode is not selected, i have not tried anything as i know nothing about them except the basic uses, what os it is running i do not know, thanks in advance for you replys.

    Is the ringer volume turned up (using the side volume buttons)?

    Or have you checked the volume is up in Settings; Sounds; Ringer and Alerts?

    Connect it to a computer with itunes, is it recognised?
    If so make sure it's on the latest version of iOS
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4623 Look for "Update your device using iTunes"
    You will need to backup the phone first or you will lose music, contacts etc

    - When you flip the silent mode switch on and off while the screen is active, does the ringer icon appear and change between struck out and not struck out ?
    - Does it play a sound when texts arrive ?
    - Have you gone through ALL of the settings in Settings/Sounds ?
    - Did it ever ring ? like on the day you bought it ? I assume you tested it that day ...

    it worked perfect until last sat.

    itunes says the last upgrade was 23 october, itunes downloaded an update, when it was transfering the up date to the fone it stopped, saying that an error occured, the error is 1015, now all that i have on the fone is a full screen with a view of the cable connecting to itunes, when i disconnect the fone it turns off after about a minute.

    Do a google search for "iphone error 1015 3g" plenty of info including YouTube videos showing how to fix it.
