    Hi guys,

Downloaded Open Office around a year ago and its not bad. I've heard about LibreOffice recently. Just wondering what are people's opinions on which is better? Ideally I'd prefer Word but sure..ta

Not alot to choose between them IMO, most of the Open office devs moved to Libre office I think so in the long run that might be the best one to choose. But who cares, they are both free. Install both and pick your favourite.

Thanks. Having both wouldn't slow my laptop down too much would it? Not the most tech savy...

wouldn't worry to be honest, but don't have loads of windows open at the same time, use one at a time and then decide which one you prefer and then uninstall the other one.

    LibreOffice all the way.

Updates released more frequently, new features, large chunks of the code base have been cleaned-up.
