Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Apple Tv or Xbox 360

I have an Xbox 360 with Netflix, Sky etc, however I also have an iphone and will be getting the ipad mini in the next few weeks. My windows laptop is on it's last legs and will be replacing that with either a MBP or most likely a windows surface pro as the software that I use heavily is not compatible with mac.

Is there any advantage of getting the apple tv if I already have the xbox 360 (other than the noise). I know apps like rte player etc but is it a justifiable spend?

Is it worth getting Apple TV 4 votes

not really, but you'll be stream iTunes movies etc.

the noise is a big factor for me, apple tv is silent, my xbox sounds like a jet!

nope...hell I can't even get netflix to work on my ATV3 and with no jailbreak for it at the moment it's pretty much useless to me as I had a synology NAS for my streaming needs.

just an fyi - not sure if the surface pro will have the same problem, but there is a huge issue with the quality of streaming from Windows 8 pc to Xbox that ms have acknowledged but still haven't fixed.

I have an iphone and an ipad and have been dithering about an apple tv for a while - still haven't found a reason to justify buying one, altho' a refurbished one from the states for $85 is tempting me....
