Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Long shot but can I return a phone bought in Argos Uk to a store in the republic?

I know someone mentioned being able to do this in this forum. Has anyone got prior experience of doing it?

    What's wrong with the phone?

The touch screen has become dead in one area down toward the bottom of the screen so you can't really type with it.It has got no abuse,in fact hardly any use, it's my mums and she's not really texting up a storm or anything. :)

Depending on when and how it was purchased you may have a small chance, lime if it was bought online.

Only real way of knowing is by going to an Argos and asking.

    /Just an idea.......

Buy exact same phone from Argos in Ireland.
    Take phone home, unpackage etc.
Put broken phone into packaging of new phone.
Armed with your Irish-Argos receipt head into the Argos you bought phone from....
Tell customer care you bought phone yesterday and it wont power on/screen dodgy etc.

    Get refund.

Argois in Ireland will be covered by their supplier via warranty, you have new working phone that you've already paid for anyway via Argos UK.

Everyone should now be happy. ;)

Issues may arise if they check the IMEI of the phone though.
If they don't notice in store, then the returns group will.
