Glow in the dark coats/collars

Well, after losing our JRT for over an hour in the dark and across muddy fields last night, I'm looking for a recommendation for some kind of collar or coat that I can put on her that will glow or flash in the dark.
She doesn't have great recall which we are working on, but when she picks up a scent there is no stopping her!
I'd be more worried that she'd get stuck somewhere as the fields by us are a bit boggy.

Have seen some on line but wanted recommendations if possible.

Have seen them in larger €2 stores, the coats I mean. A neighbour has one for their dog and they put it in him when they are leaving him out to run around the front when it gets dark, it seems to have work well, maybe worth giving it a go.

I use a reflective bandana that I got on zooplus - they were actually free in the rewards shop the last time I was ordering or a few euro to buy. We met somebody in the park the other week with a flashing collar they got in the pound shop that was really good - and it was their second year using it so not cheapo crap!

For the size of a JRT I'd think a coat would prove a better size on a reflective side rather than a collar. I've never seen a "Lighted collar" one but would presume it is more bulky than a normal collar and these guys/gals do like to poke around holes/fences and what not, I'd suggest leaving it large enough to slip(If necessary) over their head. Depending on the dog but could prove expensive unless you live by a road.

Yeah the one I saw was a bit bulky tbh - it was on a collie so you wouldn't really notice but you would for a jrt. You can get little lights that clip on to their collar/harness and are pretty small.

I use lights that clip to their collar, got them on eBay and they cost about €3 in total.
My smallest girl is just over 5kg and these lights are small enough for her. I'll try to find the link when I'm on the laptop

Just looked on eBay, sellers name is limbobargains and they are based in Ireland. I had the lights less than 24 hours after I ordered them...
We get loads of comments from people while the dogs are wearing them

Yep I've seen both collar and coats for €2 in €2 stores. They're available in pet stores but are much more expensive for pretty much the same thing.

Used as a collar - they are reflective & have small LED lights on them & are very effective. Think Lidl/Aldi have them from time to time but you would probably find the somewhere like the 2 Euro shops?

OH got them in a pet shop in Cork so they are available here. Don't know how much she paid but they are working very well. The luminuos reflecter is very bright so even when they are haring around fields in the dark we can see exactly where they are. The one time one of them got her self seriously stuck she was able to pull out of it without a problem and they certainly haven't stopped either of the girls going down rabbit holes, up embankment, through all available foliage and generally be JRTs.

Due to the cold weather both are now wearing coats as well and it was a matter of seconds to adjust the straps.

I use these. Got them in Lidl a few months back. Absolutely great job, wouldn't be without them now. Even use them on bad rainy days so drivers will see the dog and me in time. Though they're only useful for small - medium size dogs. You could put two together for a large dog as they're velcro fastening.

We have little blinky lights for the collars. We got them in maxizoo for about 6 each, but they are great. Tiny but very bright and very noticeable.

We were walking them through the park late one night and could hear some commotion ahead of us. As we walked on we came to 3 young men looking sheepish. They thought the dogs were gardai on bikes They had fired their drink into the bushes by the time we got there. The mix of confusion and relief on their faces was gas.

I have the cat version of these collars for my cats and they are really good! I know they don't light up but the reflective stuff in them is really good! Can spot them ages away the light off my phone! Must pick this up for my dog!

Was in Heatons yesterday and spotted flashing collars reduced from 6 to 2 euro so picked up a couple:D

I got a really cheap bicycle light in Argos (I think it was 2.99) and I have it attached to my girl's "after dark" collar. Its just an extra collar that I clip on for after dark adventures. Once we reach full darkness as I clip her lead off for free running I pop the bicycle light on. All you have to do is follow the red flashing light. My girl has flawless recall (thankfully!) but I just like to know where she is.

If your dog is ball obsessed (mine certainly is) I found bouncing balls that have a light in them that flashes when the bounce - perfect for fetch after dark!
