Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is my phone unlocked?

I requested O2 to unlock my phone, and today they sent me a sms saying it had been unlocked.

I don't have another sim to put in it, so I can't check if it is or not (going abroad soon and I intend to buy another sim to put in it, so want to check it'll work first)

I had a look online, and there's a lot of mention about getting a "Congratulations, your iPhone is unlocked" message after doing a restore in iTunes. I've done the restore but I didn't get any message. Maybe its just an AT&T message?

Anyone able to help with this?

You should of got the message after the restore. Maybe wait a while and try again. Any chance the phone was replaced under warranty

I didn't get that message after a restore either, but my phone is unlocked.

I didn't get a message after restoring my phone either. Maybe ring apple tomorrow and ask them?

I think the only way I'll know for sure is if I put a sim from another carrier into it. Anyone know how much I can pick one up for?

    i didnt have to restore.
    just plugged it into itunes.
prompted "you have new carrier settings"
downloaded and it popped up "your phone is unlocked"

you have to have a sim in the phone that has not previously been used in the phone.

This is the text I got from O2 when they unlocked my iPhone:

Apple have confirmed the iPhone IMEI XXXXXXXX is set to unlock. To complete, connect the device to iTunes with a SIM never used in the iPhone. From O2.
