Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I stopped reading when I saw that Neymar was ahead of Bebe .

Ridiculous that he never gets the credit that his talent deserves.

Paying 27 Million for player who is 33 next month would be considered madness to most Club Chairmans.

Nani has 7 years over Xavi and would get some money if they were to sell in future. Also the wages would mean Xavi is out of reach anyway.

Xavi is one of greatest players I have ever seen, but to pay 27 million for him now. Cazy. Its not even realistic.

You want be sugar daddy of the sugar daddys.

Xavi is the type of player who could play till he is 40. And "chairmen" shouldn't be deciding recruitment policy. Thats the managers job or the director of footballs job. All they do is sign the cheque's. And whether its 27 million for 4 youngsters or 27 million for 1 oldie is irrelevant. That's what the manager says he needs.

If ANY team in europe thought they could get him for that little or that he would leave Barca.........he would have 20 club reps at his front gate tomorrow waiting in line.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,379 ✭✭✭hefferboi

No manager would buy a 33 year old for 27 million. End of.

Shanghai Shenhua spent about that on Drogba....and he's 34. Over thirty million dollars. Beckam signed for Galaxy at 33 for alot more.

It would appear, you are wrong. End of.

Nani is an absolutely horrible player and I'm a United supporter.

Nothing is free. 27 million up front and 0 on wages is the same amount of money as 0 up front and 520k a week.

Money spent is money spent. And that's what a "Chairman" cares about.

Hence why Xavi is worth Less value wise then Nani.

    Thanks for proving my point.

He was on a base salary of about 8 million a year including bonus'. He took a pay cut last year, but even at 7 million a year.......7x5 is 35.

Money is Money whether its paid up front or over 5 years. I mean, you are not naive enough to think that when teams buy players they always pay it up front? They often pay it in installments over several years. Almost like a wage!

That is the most ridiculous piece of shit list I've ever set eyes on.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,249 ✭✭✭MaroonAndGreen

Oscar surely should be higher than Balotelli, Muller, Schweinsteiger, Ramos, Kompany, Sanchez and Nani.

    List isnt great IMO....

Yes of course but you seem to not understand the difference between Wages alone and wages plus transfer fee.

Thats why I state again why Nani is higher value then Xavi. Its not cause he is better(although different position of course) its that value wise its 100 times more likely that Xavi would be sold for shorter contract reducing his wages and his age means not such a high fee. On other hand Nani is in his prime and would be seen to be in his prime for at least 2/3 seasons the way things stand.

People seem think this article is based on best player rather then what the player between wages and transfer fee would cost.

    Total different ball game.

Typical it's Nani that people go after at being worth more than Xavi. Not Lucas or Ramires.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,424 ✭✭✭✭The_Kew_Tour

and willing to pay 65 million between wages and transfer fees for 33 year old.

Crazy! or just cheap shot maybe
