    my old mira elite 1 has just started making a loud growling sound
    ,but it's still pumping

    any ideas what's up before i open it?
    i think i have a spare pump

    Is it like a really rough, almost crunchy sound? That's the way mine went before I changed it out.

    The pump would be the first suspect anyway. Possibly the bearings noisy or impellor blade broke off in the housing.

    Get someone competent in dont forget:)
