Dave O'Callaghan has been impressive tpday, totally outshining the over hyped O'Mahony

O'Gara having a bit of a shocker with the boot.

    ROG 6 - Sars 0

I'm clearly talking about out of hand.

Another score before half-time would be nice.

And we don't have a viable TH option on the bench either.

Another ridiculous penalty in my opinion 6 points gifted to Munster by the ref.

O'Gara is landing his place kicks but killing the team in other aspects

That was a good kick from Murray

We'll be doing well to see a try in this game with the way it has been officiated. Just like Leinster vs Munster last season, Gauzere is whistling the players off the park. He's not favouring anyone, but he's preventing any flow to the game whatsoever. Has there been 5 phases put together yet?

Don't know if the drop goal was the right idea, although if he had nailed it, a 9 point advantage would be nice. But we had just made aboout 15 metres with 2 carries.

What a waste that DG attempt was.

  • Site Banned Posts: 1,519 ✭✭✭Higher

Should be 3-3 but I suppose thats what home advantage is all about. Two non penalties give Munster a cushion 6 pt lead. No real stand outs from either team thus far. Horrible game to watch, no flow at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,080 ✭✭✭✭Micky Dolenz

Worth a shot at the drop goal but they were on the back foot, might have been worth a run at them.

    9-3 HT

ROG with Downey outside him, clock gone past 40mins. Definitely right choice, I reckon. If he'd nailed it, it would have been a real sucker punch and psychological blow to Sarries. Hit it sweetly but got under it a little.

I should have mentioned that, aside from the ref, the two sides and their approach is going to ensure a lack of tries too. A lot of well presented ball being hoofed away.

Goode is a classy player. Love seeing teams with the extra playmaker from 15.

was the right option. 2 score lead going into the break would be ideal. they were never going to get through the phases needed to even get close the try line with the way the ref is calling things.

Considering the yards Munster were making at the very least he should have waited till he was closer.

Nervous about potentially losing the €20? Don't think I've ever seen anyone cheer an English opposition so vehemently over and Irish province on here before.

It's not been the greatest game but it's intense.

Anyway, DOC2's best game of the season...been impressed with him. Coughlan, as ever, has been excellent. Murray's been pretty good bar that sloppy pass at the start and he probably should have held on when he was within 5m, momentum probably would have got him over, he's a strong guy. That's the closest either team has come to scoring.

Munster lineout has been excellent after one mishap at the start, and we've put them under all sorts of pressure. But Goode for them looks very very dangerous and we need to stop kicking the ball to him.

I'd have Keatley on fairly soon, gaps have appeared in their defence from time to time, just don't think ROG is the man to exploit them.

I think Munster have been reasonably impressive bar a bit of indiscipline.

Where am I cheering on an English opposition? Could you point it out?

I think both penalties weren't penalties. A Munster fan agreed with me. You're being a bit OTT. Do you disagree?

Intensity, a bit of niggle, and the crowd getting involved are making this game what it is. wouldn't call it poor

agreed. Keatley would allow a change in tempo and point of attack.

The second one where the Saracens player was being clearly held by a Munster player. The third one where the Saracens player clearly did not take out DOC in the air

    Idiotic penalties from Munster

I wish they'd show replays of the penalty incidents, because I thought that one was a bit harsh on first viewing.

    Missed anyway.

Said this earlier. The coverage seems strange in that they're not really showing replays.

Well I haven't seen the 2nd one again so you could be right but I think he did interfere with DOC in the air.

    Anyway, 9-6 now.

Luckily for Munster, Farrell is having a poor game from the kicking tee.

Got to cut them out or could end up costing them the game.
