Thinking of going to get the tree tomorrow. Only thing is we live in an apartment 3rd floor and we don't have much space to spare for a massive tree. Also we're broke. Any tips on where to buy a cheap fake but decent one? Looking for something about 1-2 metres. Living in city centre.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Cheers guys. :)

    Tesco...6 footer for 25 euro.

6 footer with snowy tips and pine cones for 32 euro.

Cheers Paddy, got one earlier in Argos. 5ft - €9.00

Spent €10.00 on cheap decorations and lights on Mary street.

Not great, but does the job nicely for the price and size.

You've done really well for the price range! If you wanted to personalise your tree a bit you could make salt dough decorations, follow the link above for a recipe, it's so easy and cheap. I throw loads of cinnamon and nutmeg in mine, turns the dough brown. Just cut out stars or tree shapes or even circles, with a little nubbin on top, for a bauble look. Then halfway through baking you can brush them with egg wash and they'll shine forever!
