    Hey all
Smoke is coming from the grill, not from dirt or the bars of grill itself but from where the grill bars begin/emerge from the uppper electrical part , if that makes sense. It seems to be some electrical fault. When the grill is turned on smoke streams out from these 2 points. Any idea what might be wrong and the cost?

It could be lots of things from a loose / damaged connection, a broken element, to a build up of grease that you can't see.

You'd really need to get a service call from someone who can change the element.

Just make doubly certain you've the cooker fully isolated from the power supply before attempting anything. They're normally on a circuit that has no RCD protection so, you can be quite easily killed by touching a live component.

You can usually tell an electrical fault from a grease fire as it will smell of burning electrical components or you'll hear arcing (buzzing / sparking noise)

Don't use the grill until it's repaired though. They can catch fire and wreck your kitchen!
