I am trying to write a data cd, but my laptop keeps on opening media player and no longer comes up with the pop-up menu when I insert a blank disc. When I try to copy the files manually the disc doesn't end up 'finalised' so I cannot use the files on another computer, which is the whole point of the operation. I've wasted…

Download Nero BurnLite to burn files. Its free. Many other options on the site as well

`Thanks I'll try that, I assume I just open Nero Burnlite, and it will give me options to finalise the disc at the end

It shouldn't matter about finalizing discs. They should still work on any computer after been burnt.
