Just an observation but with RVP, defenders seem to leave Rooney in more space due to how good RVP is. Never seen this for Welbeck or Berbatov.

RVP just seems to occupy both CB's which leaves that extra yard for Rooney. Whilst with Welbeck or Berba the CB's can generally leave them 1-v-1 with them allowing to get that extra yard closer to Rooney.

Not on your nelly, from a neutral point of view watching this game City have had the majority of the possession up in the UTD half too. They haven't really created too many clear cut chances though. The only reason that City are 0-2 down is because of two great finishes from Rooney.

They don't deserve to be 0-2 up IMO, dominated for a few minutes after the second but back to being all City again.
