Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'll be really surprised if he doesn't. Although Dzeko has been playing really well lately hasn't he?

Apart from the first 15 minutes

Like usual these games dont build up to the hype, this is an awful game of football, utd deserve their lead because they are clinical.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,623 ✭✭✭double GG

Tevez on and probably Nasri off, City might even go three at the back?

I wouldn't go with Dzeko. Althoiugh he has scored from the bench, he's been rubbish in recent games

Maybe Tevez for Nasri might be the best

City will be hoping for a similar second half showing than January in FA cup!

What kind of ****e talk is that, city are supposed to be champions, one goal and they are right back in this.

They didnt really create much though in fairness.

Gotta be happy with 52% possession over the half here :)

Don't be silly, there's a third goal, just depends who gets it.

Great first half. Tom Cruise will be well impressed.

Just got to make sure the foot is kept on the gas for the second.

Valencia has been poor again, maybe put on smalling and push raf onto the wing?

I have the fear now that City will score early on and put pressure on us:(

Was it 3-0 h/t January in FA cup?

    Big ten mins coming up

Still confident we can at least get a draw from this, don't care what anyone thinks, I think we've played as good or if not better than United. Rooney just took two chances well. Take away the goals and City have been on top.

Tevez and Maicon on for sure.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,559 ✭✭✭✭yabadabado

game far from over.if City get an early one in the second half it will really put it up to United.
I thought rooneys first goal was excellent the buid up play was brilliant and a nice finish as well.

We need to look like scoring first.

Come back to me when you've experienced decades of disappointment.

Two years of success doesn't get rid of 'Typical City'.

United doing very well on the break. Think City's midfield have been better, but United are destroying City down the flanks. Clichy especially is being exposed.

Still really think the game can go either way. Think City still look very very threatening up front. Should be a fun 2nd half.

He's not playing bad enough to move a player out of position. Plus, I think Val will be an asset on the counter

Balotelli would throw a strop in the dressing room if subbed!

It's the same ****e talk as Mancini declaring the title race as over with United 8 points clear.

"Oh there's no way we can win... OMG I can't believe we won!" And then if they do lose, "See, I knew it." it's a throwback to Flahavaj and the great jinx-induced title-win of 08/09.

Don't see where this luck thing is coming from with Rooney's first goal, he was clearly looking for that corner.

Young and Valencia have been excellent. Relieving a lot of pressure.

Not on your nelly, from a neutral point of view watching this game City have had the majority of the possession up in the UTD half too. They haven't really created too many clear cut chances though. The only reason that City are 0-2 down is because of two great finishes from Rooney.

They don't deserve to be 0-2 up IMO, dominated for a few minutes after the second but back to being all City again.

It's a little disingenuous to describe yourself as a neutral since you generally appear to have a strong dislike for United.

City hanging onto the ball for a bit hardly constitutes being on top. They never looked dangerous, whereas United looked threatening for most of the half.

City looked okay for the first quarter of an hour, after that they were dead in the water. Hopefully Fergie has some tactical changes for half time, because I think City will come out a different side in the second half.

If United score next then that's the game put to bed, if City score then the game's wide open.

The logic behind the choice of sub is fairly obvious - Nastasic and Lescott are both left sided centre backs, Kolo is right footed.

I love this word. Just because you don't actively support either team it doesn't mean you're a neutral. From your other posts around Boards it's clear as day that you strongly dislike United. Which inevitably sways your neutrality.

City badly need 3 goals and to not concede anymore goals have any hope of winning here.
