Help Connect Desktop(without a monitor) to a laptop to trf info

Hi
I have an old desktop pc (without a monitor) and i need to take some files off it to transfer to my laptop.
Is there any straightforward way to do this

Do you have a digital tv you can connect the computer to? If not you will need to remove the hard drive from the pc and get one of these cables to connect it to the laptop and you will be able to get your files then

i have a digital tv and i have an external hard drive. would i need a special cable to connect the desktop to the tv? then could i copy down onto the external hard drive, thanks a mil for the help

Is this port on your PC and television?


You will need a VGA cable if they are. Its the same lead as if you were connecting the desktop to a monitor
Yea if you have a portable hard drive you can just copy to the hard drive and then onto the laptop.
