Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

just started watching the second half...is joe allen having another mare?

is there any point of having him on the pitch in one of these matches where it is going to get v physical in the middle of the park

He, like Sterling, needs a few games' rest.

Jesus, no salient point can be made for or against Asaidi playing or not, until we've seen him play a few games.

What reason is there to think otherwise?

Joe Cole, Stewart Downing and their performances this season is reason enough for me.

And so could u probably I really dont rate him as a manager at all. Chancer!

Neither do I but trying to wind people up by calling him Brenda isn't really going to work....you can do better.

    Stewie D did well there.

Do you really think that Cole and Downing bring more to a Liverpool team than Assaidi would?

    The manager clearly does

It doesn't work like that though - guarantee there are a lot of professional players worse than those two messers in their current state, and undoubtedly a few players on our books too. It may not be as irritating because you'd have a sense that they were capable of giving their all, but at the end of the day that wouldn't make them more effective options.

They are value for their lead. And on a general level, they are an example of a team maximizing the resources available to them through playing honest football. We good learn from them.

Yes we could learn from them if we are aspiring for mid table - maybe we could buy Carlton Cole, but then again this isnt Jesus' manger we are building here, seems like we are covered for donkeys anyways

I take it that means, no there havent been any substitutions in the second half? Thanks for the quick answer.

Calling for Ridgers to change might be pointless. What do we have? But sure I suppose throw them on, can e that much worse than what we're watcing

Well why the fúck does he persist in playing them?It seems now they are the default backup now, same as Carragher is rather than Coates. Where is the building for the future element of that that Rodgers was getting praised for earlier in the season?

Look, Assaidi is not an expensive resource but if he can't do better than Cole or Downing he's, well, useless to what the club should be trying to achieve.

Bit hard for him to show that he cannot do better in the senior team if he does not get game time.

The only thing we know for sure is that Downing and Cole have been poor, and that they both have had plenty of games to show how average to poor they are. Unless Assadi gets some decent gametime we don't know what he will bring to the senior team.

You have speculated in the past that he might look poor in training. Maybe he does but it is nowt more than conjecture at best. I would argue that how a player looks with regular games at senior level is a much better indicator of what he can do. Cole and Downing have gotten that luxury and have come up short. Better to use our other options imho and leave the proven flops to gather dust away from the first team.

    Glen Johnson.

Best Liverpool player on the pitch today by a mile and the one doing the most to try and claw us back.

Heroic performance from him today. Leading by example and then some.

Sterling has been a joke so far.

It's the manager's fault. He's been played into the ground and it has simply showed the last few games. Rodgers is not looking after him at all. It's disgraceful really.
