Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'd suggest taking a look on HongKongGeeks they claim to pay back VAT & customs if you are stopped for payment and that is nearly guaranteed these days. I haven't tested that claim yet though.

As for the tab, try to get feedback from owners, the best place to look is on some of the bigger tablet community sites such as slatedroid.

It's a bit like Russian roulette buying Chinese tablets, it's not even possible to say that "brand X" is safe as all the brands seem to have some lemons you need to get feedback on the particular model you are considering.

Ainol are one of the bigger and more popular brands but they do seem to have had quite a history of quality problems, particularly related to touchscreens, and buggy firmware on some models so do check it out well before you purchase.

Did you buy one in the end Supercell? I'd doubt that offer from any Chinese seller to pay your duty on it though.
I am eyeing up one of these myself. The main problems I see are some batches have a dodgy touchscreen with phantom random screen presses being registered. Also to get a wider Play app range you need to set a few things to pretend it's a Galaxy S2 phone.
€195 inc P+P on ebay from a European seller seems good if it's not faulty though for what it is.

Hio Dan, as its coming up to the Chinese new year and we are going there for that holiday period my (Chinese) wife has asked her sister to order an Onda V972 instead. It works out about the same price as the one above and has better specs (seems comparable to the new Ipad). It is available on the usual sites to deliver to here but is a little more than the Novo 10 (around €210 delivered IIRC)

Have a weather station?, why not join the Ireland Weather Network - http://irelandweather.eu/

Think that the one I'm going to pick up as well. The lack of bluetooth is a bit of a pain but the screen looks amazing for the price. Should be released in the next 10 days then I'll put my order in.

The Hero is only €152 at hongkonggeek though, which is a bit less. As ever, to buy now or wait...
Is there an English site or where us Westen types can get a hold of that Onda? If I could get a better look at it it'd help me decide. I'll try Youtube too.

Just noticed hongkonggeek have a pre-arrival page for it too. €212. I'd need some quality reports though first.
It says it has Bluetooth. My main worry would be battery life with a retina screen to power with the same 8000mAh as the Hero.
